Strength from our Swede

What are the strength in our camera Language 

One of my strength from camera language from the swede we produced was when at (0:39-0:40) , it denoted as an over the shoulder shot ,in the park , with Yoda and Luke as

the character. How this was our strength was that we had the same camera language as our swede. Also the positioning of the camera of high angle showed the important of the character.

Another strength from our camera language from our swede was at (0:49) this two shot ,that was shot in school , which some of the class mate , used for actors. Why this shot work is that it denoted the two characters , and define each of the  characters position, as this shot was lead into shot reverse shot , which has the same camera technique in the real film.

What are the strength from our Mise-en-Scene

One of the strength from our Mise-en-scene is the props we used at (1:12-1:28).The props where light saber , which where used in the battle scene against Luke Sky walker and Darth Vader. Why the props of the light sabers were a strength as. It made the swede indicated that it was a star wars movie , as it would made the swede look recognizable to the audience.

Another strength from our Mise-en-scene was the costume , as at (1:09). The costume that our character wore was a white shirt , with a black waist coat . How this was a strength was , that the character in the swede had an identical look to the character to the one in the film, which made it recognizable , to that this is a star wars movie.

What are the strength from our Sound

Sound of Ewokes and Troopers

One of the strength we have with our sound was, the voice over of the Storm Troopers and Ewoke , and (1:06). Sound was voiced over by the director. How this was a strength as this created a more active audio to it , as this was to imated and copy the film structure of sound , but in a really badly way ,to the original film .

The into Theme Music

Another Strength from our sound , was voice over at (0:00-0:11) . As this was voiced over by a group of our class mates , we had imitated the theme tune of the original sound track of the movie. Why this was a strength as this made the swede recognizable , this would have indicated to the viewer that it is a star wars movie .

Weakness/Improvement from our swede

What are the weakness/improment in our Swede Camera Language

One of the weakness in our camera language was the mid shot at (1:08). This was filmed in the park , with some drawn out props ,with a actor playing Han Solo. How this was a weakness was that the shot was not defined properly , as it covered most of the character with the props , as the camera was too high for the character , as the rule of thirds was not shown.How we could improve this is by cutting out the white spaces of the props, which would make the shot more define , and display the character more.

Another weakness from the camera language was mid shot at (0:59) . How this shot was a weakness , is that there was not a still movement as it effected the way it looked with the swede, as there was shaky cam , that looked like it was not on a tripod, which we start to lose the rule of thirds.How we could improve this is by putting the camera on a tripod to keep steady, this would make it less shaky and stay with the flow of the swede.

What are the weakness/improment in our Mise-en-scene

One of the Mise-en-scene weakness was the production design at ( 1:00) .This was filmed in the park , with the crew holding the prop showing the , and moving it along. what was weak about this was the location of the shot as it too alike as a park gate , as it did not imitate the location of the movie scene used. How we would improve this is by , constructing a prop , of the building in the movie , which would make it recognizable from the movie.

Another weakness that we found with the Mise-en-scene was at (0:15) , with a long shot. This shot included a character that was on the table , with grey bottoms and a back top. The weak thing about this is that costume of the character was not on point , as it is not recognizable that this is Jabber from the film , as it is a mixture between two costume.

What are the weakness/improvment in our sound

One of the weakness from our sound was , at (0:42-0:45). This was produced in the park , with student from class as actors . The weakness that we discovered, was that the sound , had wind in the background , which disrupted the dialog , that was being said by the character , as this make it not fit the flow of the sweded. How we could have improve this is by going to a less windily location , which would make the dialogue from the character.

Another weakness , in sound was , at (1:12-1:18). This
was filmed in the drama studio , which two character having a light saber fight. How this was a weakness is that , it did not sound recognizable to the viewer , as the sound of the light saber hitting sound too plain , it did not sound like a light saber .How we could improve , this is by , doing sound effect with our voices , and adding it in , this would make the scene more active.

How did you improve your Pre-production skills

How i have improved my pre-production skills , is from the crew list as we have stuck to the crew list as , there should be a title given to a person that works in the group , this has prepared , us for the production part , I have learnt that you have to stick to your job.

How also i have improved on my pre-production , is to organised what , shot we have to record , what this has done to improve is to , help structure and save time , from doing shots one by one . As this help , with having a clear understanding what shots you have completed.

How did you improve on logistical/production management skills

How we have improved on logistical/production management skills , as before production we had managed out when we are , we going to film each part of the swede . What i have learnt and improved is that you should spread out the location on different day , to make it easier.

How i also improved the logistical/production management skills was the cast list as ,the management for who was who character is. This made us keep track of the character that we will need on specif days, that we needed the character, I have improve this skill , as we should pick character that would be reliable

How did you improve the Mise-en-scene skills

How i improved the mise-en-scene skills , is that the props that we used was , representing the old time as they used models as props, as we used a props of a ship to re create a scene in the movie to make it recognizably.

How we also improved the  Mise-en-scene was the location of the scene , as we choose location that , would relate to the recognition of the real movie . How this improve our mise-en-scene was that pick an location that would represent and define the situation.

How well does your swede imitate the real film?

How our swede imitate the real film is that at (0:00-0:11). The sound denotes that it is a Star Wars theme tune , how it also denoted is the font of the intro , which is yellow and bold text. As this connotes the intro of the real film , as it has a black background , with a same view as the font we used in our swede. It has a accurate shots of the scene as the scene from the real film has a scrolling effect of the font . Which is denoted back to the font we used in our swede as we scrolled upwards.

Another way we imitated the real film , is the scene when Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker Battle. As the props we used where, denoted as a green and red light sabers , another prop we used was Darth vader mask. which connoted the antagonist in the film.As this made the film recognizable to audience of who the antagonist is and the protagonist is .

How I denoted the 180 degree rule was , was the boss wearing a blue suit spoke to franki ,

wearing the black suit , and franki reposed and then the Boss gives his opinion, as this consist of multiply shots of over the shoulder shots , this represented the shot , reverse , shot , what defined the we kept to 180 degree rule was , that we had a two shot before the shot, reverse , shot to define where each character was sitting , as franki was sitting on the left and Boss was sitting on the right , we did not cross the line to make the character look opposite side. What else we contained in the film was match on action , as this was displayed at the begging when franki was walking up to the Bosses office door and showed a carried on action from the other side of the room.

What Challenges we faced during Production?

What challenges we faced during production , was the setting of our film , was looking to alike as a school corridor as we , wanted to make the setting of the film to be ,an office of a high standers that was meant for a Boss of a mafia gang. If we filmed this again we would have , what we would change was the position of the camera shots , as the shots we used denoted to us that it was a school.

What Challenges we Faced during post Production?

The challenge i faced during Post-Production , is that the shot to the next shot had a slight mistake , that looked out of placed , which made it hard to tight edit the film , this was because we did not keep small props in place and looked out of shot in the next one , what this did was have less freedom with the edit of the film

The strength i had in our work was the creativity as , i had a visual idea of what the film would look like as a whole , because i had a thought and scene of what each shot of the camera would look like and what the shot would denote and connote to the audience , what each shot of the film would mean as there was a purpose to each shot.

The weakness i had in our work was the planning of the film , it was the planning that let me down as the props and location were not of how i visualized the film to contain , as it was not planned the way i visualized the film, because the planning i did , did not fully include the visual idea of the film.

 11-55 , It is ranged between this range as , there is a child like atmosphere to the movie as the ewoke , input a child like them and the , serious story line of Luke finally confronting his father put in a the high adult range as there would deeply understand , the situation of the characters. This could effect a wider audience then expected.

mostly male , the gender is mostly male because ,the colour used within the movie are dark colors , as the costume of the main characters are dark and murky , which make it more tension for the audience , as this is what the male audience would watch, also the character the audience is mostly male , as it would relate to a male audience more.

watching star trek, could be interested in astronomy ; there could be interested in Star trek as it is a si-fi TV show , and could like the story line of the show , and could also be interested in astronomy , may be interested in how the planet and the solo er system work and about space.

The movie display space ship , which would be reflected by Nasa , which is a USA astronomer company, and would be indicated to Nasa. The production company that produced this movie was Lucasfilm Ltd , the UK theatrical distributor for this movie was 20th Century fox , and the US theatrical distributor was Twentieth Century fox film corporation. The effect to the film from the budget was not too noticeable ,as at this time (25min) of the film the , the CGI denoted a unrealistic characters of the monster , with a big body, but with small head and long big lips , this connotes that the CGI was not accurate .This impacted the film not to much , this still made the the viewer decisive over is the film was using original content

Representation

Protagonist:

 Luck Sky Walker is the protagonist of the star wars movie , because him as a character is been show all the way through, he is mostly viewed in the camera shots, what identifies him to be a protagonist is his personality as he want to make things better within the movie, his costumes at (115min) denotes that he is were all black outfit, with his face showing, this connotes that he want to be know that the darkness of this father is being shown , but he is coming out in his own way. Luke action in the movie at (35min) show us that he is protagonist , this is denoted when he saves leia and Han Solo from jabber , this connotes that he is an hero and is to save people from death , his body language denotes that as this (96min)that he is in danger in a fight with Darth Vader and has the posture of in combat this connotes that he is ready for anything as create a tension feeling for the audience, they create feeling for Luke skywalker.

Antagonist:

Dark Vader is the antagonist in the star wars film because it show the audience clear identification, as the costume of Dark Vader denotes it to be dark and shiny and with a robotic to his chest, he has a clock on, with a mask that cover his face ,This at (116 min) denote that he wants his identity to be hidden this could relate to a criminal, and the dark and shiny costume connotes  that Dark Vader mind and thought are dark, but shine through his eyes.The action of Darth Vader defines he wants to hurt the protagonist as at (97min) ,it denotes that there is a light saber fight going on between Luke skywalker and Darth Vader of the ship and the empire is watching, what this does to Darth Vader is make the audience to dislike him as he is stopping  the protagonist and create no felling for the character.

Another antagonist that could have been involved in star wars is the empire , he is denoted to the audience as wears a gown and with a dis humanized face , this connotes that he is scary and made to look like this to create fear from the audience as you see this at (95min), he also show he a antagonist through is action as a character as he put the protagonist in a bad situation at this point of (98min) , which make him want to stop the protagonist ,as this connotes he is a bad guy.His facial expression , denotes as scary and face dis humanized , as this connotes no vulnerability from the audience , which indicates he is antagonist.

Genre

Themes:

The theme of the Star wars movie was a mixture of revenge and family ,  revenge is denoted to be a pay back from Luke Skywalker to Darth Vader , as he left him as a son and Luke never knew who his dad was until he asked Yoda , this connotes that he wants to take his anger out on his dad , also what else is denoted is family , as family is bring together at this time (102min) this showed to audience the effected side of things , when Luke Skywalker say good bye to his dad and he dies , this connotes that the family is bring together towards the end.

Stock Characters:

The Stock character , there are many helper in the story as there is Han solo and Leia Skywalker , that help Luke Skywalker to help kill the death star , but blowing up the control panel at (77min) , who else was surprisingly a helper was Darth Vader as he help Luke skywalker , from the pain he was reviving from the empire.

Setting:

The Star wars movie was set in space and in a forest , the space denotes ,as dark background with star shining , but with grey space ship in different sizes , this connotes that CGI was used , an then location does not exits , this is show at (87min) . the the Second setting is the forest as it denoted at (69min) of being , filled with tall high green trees , and wide ear of dead leaves of land , and have ewokes in thousand surround and also bucket heads fighting each other , with tall big footed robots, what this connotes that the setting of this is for a ground war , and show non realistic people having a war.

Mise-En-Scene:

The costume used in the Star wars movie are robotic , it denotes to us at (77min) , the bucket head have a white and black robotic costume,also at (35min) the Darth Vader has a dark and shiny costume with a robotic chest , what this connotes is the future and the technology of the movie genre, the lighting of the film is low key in the parts when someone important die , for example at this moment (57min) , Yoda die and has a low key lighting , and defines the fading out of someone life.

Set Pieces:

The Star wars movie , the one of the set pieces that define the genre was denoted the space ship battle in space , as there was gun shots and rockets being fired at other ship , at (94min) what this connoted that this was futuristic , one of the other was the Fight Between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker , as at this moment (97min) it denoted that father with dark and shiny costume and robotic on his chest with and mask on was fighting his son with dark costume and with a reviled face having a light saber fight , this connoted that the fight is fantasy and unrealistic as it define the genre of SI-FI.

Sound:

The sound effect that used in this have a futuristic sound to it , as it reminds me of the Game Halo , as it is has a high pitch sound effect , these sound effects are used at , when there is a space ship battle going on in space , what else define the genre is the theme song of the Star wars film as it indicates to the audience that this is a Star Wars film.

Narrative

Equilibrium:

 R2-D2 and C-P30 are introduced of them going to jabber , hut , so is leia skywalker shown and rescued Han solo from the carbonate but get caught , and Han solo is locked up with chewbacca in a cell and leia a servant of jabber , then Luke comes to the rescued and so does lando, this is were Darth Vader is shown in his space ship and gets thing ready for the empire at (35min).

Disruption:

Luke Skywalker fined out that his father is Darth Vader , by Yoda which he die , at this moment (65min) and then they are sent on a mission to kill the death star , and then when they reach the forest leia shortly after is then hurt and rescued by ewoke , and then the ewoke , team up with the crew at (74min) to help kill the death star and help fight of the bucket heads.

Recognition:

As the battle in space is happening at this moment (90min) , so is the war in the forest between the ewoke and bucket heads is happening , Han solo and Leia Skywalker are ,trying to destroyed and shut down the control panel , to kill the death star ,, the Control Panel blowup and are successful, then Lando in Space at this moment (86min) know the attack is a trap , them back away , then reviles start to attack , the other ships and war beings.. 

Repair:

Luke skywalker hand himself in , and meets his father , then he try to kill the empire and fails as Darth Vader stops him and then have a showdown , with his own father at this moment (96min) which shortly after Luke Skywalker cuts of Vader Hand and then the empire stands up and zaps and electrocute skywalker , because he attacked Darth Vader, at this Moment (97min) 

New Equilibrium:

 For the new equilibrium the empire is killed , as at this time (108min) it denotes that the empire is thrown of the ledges into a high voltage area, by Darth Vader , and the empire is electrocuted to dust and die.and then Luke skywalker returns to the forest to his sister and have a great big party because of the success of blowing up the death star.
